Unfortunately when it comes to nightlife and entertainment for the gay urban crowd, that pace seems to be reduced to a snail’s crawl. Birmingham seemed to be a perfect choice for them. They were getting away from Atlanta for the weekend and wanted a slight change of pace. Immediately I knew they were from Atlanta. It’s because Birmingham has very little options for the urban gay community. Not that I didn’t know where they could have gone. Birmingham” for some haphazard reason, the bartender thought I would have the answers they needed. I approached them and was asked to reply to their question. Then I heard the bartender yell my name from across the room. The other night, two guys walked into a bar and asked the bartender what options were there out there for black gays in Birmingham.
